Photography | Lille/Bruges

In 2017 we spent a week in Lille. This is a smaller French town that is influenced by its proximity to Belgium, something that is particularly reflected in the local cuisine.

I wouldn't describe Lille as touristy but as I have no love of being with crowds of tourists, this suited me just fine. The Musée des Beaux Arts was, however, a delight. I didn't actually take that many photographs on this holiday, which may be apparent from the selection offered here. As usual I've tried to include those that I feel have some photographic merit, give or take the odd snap.
While in Lille we took a coach trip to the very touristy Bruges for a day. A beautiful place but almost totally devoted to tourism. The contrast with Lille couldn't have been greater.
